NPD: 14 Per Cent Of US Households Have Online Game Subscriptions

While subscriptions for traditional media such as newspapers and magazines have declined this year, research by the NPD Group has found that US consumers are not scrimping on entertainment subscriptions in 2009. According to NPD’s Entertainment Trends In America report, 14 per cent of US households subscribed to an online gaming service as of August 2009. Overall monthly entertainment-content subscription spending is said to be up seven per cent since last year to $115 per capita
