EA has announced it is to publish new Epic title Bulletstorm, a first-person shooter the Gears of War studio is developing in conjunction with Poland-based developer People Can Fly. The game will be released onto PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2011. “Bulletstorm is the kind of game we love to make because it’s pure, unadulterated entertainment,” said Epic Games president Michael Capps.

Ubisoft’s PC game DRM has done an excellent job of keeping people from playing its games. Sadly, the people barred from the games are the ones who actually purchase them

PAX East returns to Boston in 2011 and 2012, in bigger venue

It appears the East Coast has an annual gaming mega-convention to call its own, as the Penny Arcade Expo East officially locks into Boston for two years. The wildly successful inaugural year had an estimated 60,000 attendees (twice the number originally planned for), which has led organizers to move the show from the Hynes Convention Center to the much larger Boston Convention & Exhibition Center for 2011 and 2012. Although the extra space will be welcomed by publishers and attendees, the other convention center is horribly located (especially by Boston standards) down by the harbor

Miyamoto: PS3 And Natal A “Great Honour”

Shigeru Miyamoto has described the invention of Microsoft’s Project Natal and Sony’s PS3 Move as a “great honour”, saying the pair is refining technology Nintendo created. Speaking to CVG , Miyamoto said: “Nintendo should welcome the opportunity when or where something we have originally tried is intensified by somebody else, because that means that other people are trying to starting to show their appreciation for whatever endeavour we have made in the beginning.” read more
