North Carolina Introduces Games Tax Break

North Carolina governor Beverly Perdue has signed a new law offering companies economic incentives for interactive digital media productions. Study: 67% Of US Households Play Games

New research from the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has found that 67 per cent of US households play videogames. The trade association’s Essential Facts About The Computer And Video Game Industry report also revealed that 62 per cent of American gamers play with other gamers in person at least one hour per week and that 48 per cent of parents play with their children at least once a week. read more

E3 2010 Attendance Hits 45,600

E3 organiser the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has announced that this week’s LA-based gaming show featured approximately 300 exhibitors and attracted 45,600 visitors – up compared to 2009’s 216 exhibitors and 41,000 attendees. The ESA also said that next year’s E3 Expo will take place from June 7-9, 2011 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
